OFFICIAL RULES: Peace By Chocolate Inc. Speak Your Peace Contest

1. How to Enter the Contest
1.1 Term of contest. The Contest will begin on May 1st 2019 and all entries shall be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time on September 10th 2019 (the “Contest Term”).

1.2 How to enter. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER. Entrants shall post a video, photo-essay or a combination of both on the Peace By Chocolate Inc. webpage: https://peacebychocolate.ca/pages/speakyourpeace which explains what peace means to you. Videos should be at least 1 minute in length. Entries shall be received by 11:59 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time on September 10th 2019.

1.3 Prizes. All submissions shall be eligible for prizes from Peace By Chocolate Inc., including one (1) grand prize of $5,000 CAD, to be drawn randomly from all contest entrants.

2. Submission Requirements
2.1 All entries shall comply with the following submission requirements:
(a) The submission shall not promote alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing), promote any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous or promote any particular political agenda or message; (b) The submission shall not contain material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright infringement; (c) The submission shall not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other intellectual rights of any person or entity, including, without limitation, copyrighted materials owned by others (including photographs, sculptures, paintings, and other works of art or images published on or in websites, television, movies or other media); and
(d) The Submission shall not contain brand names or trademarks.

2.2 By entering a submission, the entrant accepts all contest rules and agrees to be bound by the decisions of Peace By Chocolate Inc., which shall be final and binding.

3. General Conditions
3.1 All entries submitted, and all information provided, by eligible entrants shall be complete and accurate. Peace By Chocolate Inc. will not be held responsible for any technological malfunctions, contest submissions that are corrupted or cannot be opened, telephone or internet interruptions and/or any late/incomplete/erroneously completed documents.

3.2 Eligible entrants represent and warrant that all persons, if any, other than the eligible entrants whose image appears in such photos and/or videos in his/her submission have expressly consented to the posting or display of such photo/video by the eligible entrant as contemplated by these contest rules and regulations.

3.3 Entrants grant Peace By Chocolate Inc. the right to use the contents of entry submissions provided by entrants for editorial, advertising, marketing and promotional purposes of any and all kinds. Peace By Chocolate Inc. is also granted the right to reasonably modify any and all images/video and photographs for promotional purposes. Entrants waive any moral and legal rights and assign any and all rights and copyright in the entry submission to Peace By Chocolate Inc. All entries submitted and their content become the property of Peace By Chocolate Inc. and may be utilized by Peace By Chocolate Inc. for such marketing and promotional purposes as it deems appropriate. Unsuccessful submissions remain the property of Peace By Chocolate Inc. and are not returnable.

3.4 By entering the Contest, eligible entrants expressly consent to Peace By Chocolate Inc. and its agents, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his/her entry only for the purpose of administering the contest.

3.5 All entries are subject to verification by Peace By Chocolate Inc. and may be disqualified if they are received outside of the Contest Term, are incomplete, illegible, irregular, submitted through illicit means or if they contain any false statements, or do not conform to or satisfy to any condition of these contest rules.

3.6 Eligible entrants agree to be bound by all decisions of Peace By Chocolate Inc. regarding the contest which shall be final and binding in all respects.

3.7 If the contest is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including without limitation tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause, Peace By Chocolate Inc. reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to, without advance notice, terminate or suspend the contest, in whole or in part, or modify it in any way, without any further obligations to eligible entrants. Peace By Chocolate Inc. further reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual from the contest and to ban the individual from any future contest of Peace By Chocolate Inc. who it finds or believes to be tampering with the entry or selection process or the operation of the contest; to be acting in violation of the contest rules and regulations or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

3.8 The contest and these contest rules shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Nova Scotia.
