FAQ

How do I determine the best before date of my chocolate?

Use the lot number to determine the best before date

Each Peace by Chocolate product has a lot number placed on it at the time of production. This lot number indicates the date the chocolate was produced. Peace by Chocolate boxes are best eaten within 1 year of production to maintain freshness and quality.

For our Chocolate bars, you can expect freshness for up to 18 months from production date.

Please note that some lot stickers are to be read as follows: lot#18296 Best Before Day is  October 23rd 2019  (for a box of chocolates) or March 2nd 2020. The 18 reflects the year of production— 2018. 296 reflects the sequence of the day of production so it's 296 out of 365 days in the year. We are phasing out this process to make the production date more legible to consumers.
