Q: What is the cutoff date for orders to be delivered before Christmas?

Orders placed AFTER December 14th, are not guaranteed for delivery before Christmas outside of Atlantic Canada. Within Atlantic Canada orders can be placed up to December 18th.

Please note that we cannot be held responsible for delivery delays, mailing address errors on the part of the customer, redirected packages due to an address error or delays caused by weather conditions, even if your order was placed before or on December 14, 2020. All orders are delivered with the fastest available courier service or Expedited parcel via Canada Post.

*It is impossible for us to change an address or to speed up delivery once the package is in the hands of our shipping partners.*



Q: Are we shipping during COVID-19?

Yes, we are shipping worldwide. Due to the circumstances beyond our control related to the current pandemic, we are taking all necessary steps to ensure our staff are safe and protected. We are doing our very best to fulfill orders as quickly and safely as possible. Additional delays may also occur due to increased holiday volumes and with carriers delivering parcels on our behalf. Email updates are provided as parcels are shipped and are your best source for parcel tracking information. Thank you for your support and understanding.    

Our factory is safely operating to ship our treats across the world. To help get our products in hand while our clients stay safe at home, the free shipping threshold on our web store is lowered to $50 across Canada and.the US per order until further notice and we will continue to ship out purchases. Our website peacebychocolate.ca remains fully operational for online orders and will remain so until further notice.

Q: Where do we ship?

We ship worldwide (from our headquarters warehouses in Antigonish, NS). Free shipping on all orders over 50 CAD across Canada and the US. 


Q: Is our retail store open during COVID-19?

Our retail shop at 32 Bay Street in Antigonish, NS has re-opened its doors again on June 5th. Visit us, we are open 10 am till 6 pm everyday including weekends


Q: Why is my PO Box delivery being charged $5 for shipping even if my order qualifies for Free Shipping?

Free shipping only applies to non PO Box deliveries because we are charged extra by Canada Post for that delivery that exceeds our ability to send the PO order with free shipping. We are working with Canada Post on new rates soon, and we will keep this up to date. Thank you for your understanding, 



How do I determine the best before date of my chocolate?

Each Peace by Chocolate product has a lot number placed on it at the time of production with the best before date on the sticker. This lot number indicates the date the chocolate was produced. Peace by Chocolate boxes are best eaten within 12-18 months of production to maintain freshness and quality. 

For our Chocolate bars, you can expect freshness for more than 24 months from production date. 


Q: I’m having technical difficulties online. What do I do?

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, Mastercard Debit, and AmEx online. We will be accepting Paypal payments shortly.


Q: Is product pricing different online?

Our physical store in Antigonish has a “hometown discount”, but our online pricing should be the same online as our vendors!


Q: Do you have email newsletters? How do I sign up?

We sure do. You can sign up using the box at the bottom of any page on our website!


Q: Can I create a custom box of chocolates online?

We are developing an online option for this. Until then, you can build your own box any time by calling our office - 902 867 0201

Q: Where does Peace by Chocolate ship to?

We ship everywhere in Canada and the USA, and around the world!


Q: When will I get my order?

Orders normally go out same day or next business day, except in our busy season - November 1 - December 21. As soon as your order ships, our system will send you an email to let you know, containing your tracking information and order summary.


Q: How do I track my order?

As soon as your order ships, you will receive an automated email with tracking information. You can use this information to track by Canada Post, and the same numbers can be used with USPS for shipments that cross the border into the USA!


Q: How do I change or cancel my order?

Q: Can I ship to more than one person on one order?

Unfortunately, we are not yet set up for this online, but if you would like, you can email office@peacebychocolate.ca, and she can give you a hand with placing your order!


Q: How do we protect orders from melting during the summertime?

During the summer times, we use dry ice packs to make sure that the chocolates get to its destination safely and without melting. 

Q: Can you hold my order for a future date?

Q: Can I return my order?

If an order arrives damaged, or does not match your order specifications, please let us know within 1 week of receipt, and we will issue a refund or send you any missing product. We do not accept returns and all product are final sale.


Q: Can you ship during warm weather?

Yes. We use dry ice packs. If someone is not home to accept your package, it will be brought to the nearest post office, where you can pick up your order at your convenience.

Q: Does Peace by Chocolate have low-carb or sugar-free chocolates?

Unfortunately, this is not a product that is available through Peace by Chocolate. Make sure you are signed up for our newsletters to stay on top of any new product offerings! 


Q: Does Peace by Chocolate have nut-free chocolates?

Unfortunately, none of our Peace by Chocolate products can be labelled as nut free, as everything is produced and packaged in the same location.


Q: Does Peace by Chocolate have kosher-certified products?

Unfortunately, this is not a product that is available through Peace by Chocolate. Make sure you are signed up for our newsletters to stay on top of any new product offerings! 


Q: The nutritional information on my products seems really high! What is happening?

The Nutritional Information on certain Peace by Chocolate™ products is much higher than it needs to be due to a listing error of recipe/serving size. In short, some products look like they contain twice the amounts they actually do!

This issue will be corrected soon on all packaging. Please contact us for corrected nutritional information, and we will be happy to provide it for you in the meantime on your specific product.

Q: What is the best way to store Peace by Chocolate after I receive my order?

Our chocolate keeps best between 14-18°C, so storing in a cool, dry cupboard out of direct sunlight is perfect!


Q: I’d like to sell Peace by Chocolate in my store. How do I get started?

Q: Can I take a tour of your Factory?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer public tours of our factory at this time, but you are welcome to visit our store in Antigonish, located at 32 Bay Street!
