Canada Post strike: No Major Impact On Our Shipping
As of November 15, 2024, Canada Post employees, represented by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), have started strike action. While Canada Post has assured customers that they will continue operations and work to minimize disruptions, delays are expected, particularly for shipments going to PO Boxes.
Here’s how the strike could affect specific orders:
-
Delays in PO Box shipments: Canada Post has warned that there may be delays in deliveries to PO Boxes during this strike period. While they are still processing mail and parcels, the strike could slow down delivery times, especially to PO Box addresses.
-
Best option: Use a physical address: If you can, we recommend using a street address for shipping instead of a PO Box. This will help avoid the disruptions that may impact PO Box deliveries, ensuring your order arrives as quickly as possible.
At Peace By Chocolate, we understand the importance of getting your orders to you on time, and we’re committed to keeping you updated on any further developments. We encourage all customers to plan ahead, especially if you’re shipping gifts or holiday orders, to ensure they arrive as expected.
Thanks for your continued support.
