The interview told people all over the world about our family and how Peace by Chocolate came to be.

The story of our business starts in the 1980s in Syria, when our Hadhad family opened the first small shop. Years later, the factory was destroyed by war, and the family had to leave everything behind. The family spent some time as refugees in Lebanon before moving to Canada to start over. 

The people of Antigonish, Nova Scotia welcomed our family with open arms. The chocolate business was rebuilt with help from the community, and Peace by Chocolate was born.

Peace by Chocolate is a proud Canadian company and is still growing today, shipping chocolate all over Canada and beyond. Getting to be on the BBC is a big deal for our team and for everyone who has helped us along the way.
